Abstract     'I'he appropriate use of long-term enteral nutrition is often debated. Feeding by gastrostomy tube offers many advantages over other forms of enteral and parenteral nutrition. Since 1980 when percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) was first described, it has become the method of choice for gastrostomy tube placement. Cowden's syndrome is an autosomal dominant disease characterised by multiple hamartomas, mostly in the intestinal tract and skin with increased risk of breast, thyroid and some other forms of cancer. We present a patient with Cowden's syndrome whose only enteral nutrient and fluid intake has been through PEG for the last eight years.
Summary     Dolgotrajno enteralno hranjenje je predmet mnogih razprav.
