| Abstract | | The organization, surgical, diagnostic and therapeutical activities of the only specialized paediatric ophthalmology department in Slovenia are presented, Beside major oculoplastic, anterior and posterior segment surgery there is perforrned contemporarry diagnosis of eye diseases alone and in association with systemic dliseases in cooperation mainly with the University Hospital ot Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgical Depnrnnent, neonatology and genetics of the University Hospital of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, audiology. We also collaborate in teaching and research programme of the University Eye Hospital Ljubljana, various institutions in Slovenia and abroad.
