Abstract		We are describing the three - dimensional ultrasound examination of the brain in the fetus, which has in comparison with the two - dimensional examination some advantages. The three - dimensional ultrasound examination of the brain in the fetus has the possibility to evaluate any part of the brain from the acquired three - dimensional volume at the same time in three different orthogonal planes; that contributes to a higher accuracy and reliability of the diagnosis.
