Abstract		Corticosteroids are important in the treatment of chronic inflammatory bowel disease, other inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract associated with an abnormal immune response (e.g. eosinophilic gastroenteropathies, refractory coeliac disease and autoimmune enteropathies), autoimmune hepatitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis and other autoimmune liver diseases and as a primary immunosuppressive therapy after liver transplantation in children. The authors present modes of treatment with corticosteroids for some gastroenterological indications in children according to literature data and their own experience. Treatment is illustrated by the case of a girl with a relapse of Crohn's disease.
Summary		Kortikosteroidi so pomembni pri zdravljenju kronične vnetne črevesne bolezni, drugih z nenormalnim imunskim odzivom povezanih vnetij prebavil (npr. eozinofilnih gastroenteropatij, na dieto neodzivne celiakije, avtoimunskih enteropatij), avtoimunskega hepatitisa, primarnega sklerozantnega holangitisa in drugih avtoimunskih bolezni jeter ter kot primarno imunosupresivno zdravljenje po presaditvi jeter pri otrocih. Avtorji predstavljajo načine zdravljenja s kortikosteroidi pri nekaterih gastroenteroloških indikacijah glede na podatke iz literature in lastne izkušnje. V ponazoritev zdravljenja predstavijo dekle s ponovnim zagonom Crohnove bolezni.
