Abstract     Primary lymphoma of the stomach is relatively uncommon, accounting for <2% of all lymphomas. The stomach is the most frequent extranodal lymphoma localization. The vast majority of gastric lymphomas are non-Hodgkin's lymphomas of B cell origin, which vary from indolent to aggressive type. Decision about the type of treatment depends on histopathological type, stage of disease and cllnical presentation. Treatment can be surgical, with chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Standard treatment of gastric MALT who are positive for H. pylori are antibiotics. The prognosis of primary gastric lymphomas is good with most of the patients being cured.
