Abstract     Fracture of the bone means discontinuity of the bone. Fracture treatment has rich history. Forces producing fractures act in three different directions. In nature bones are healed with callus, what means secondary healing. Primary healing is only present when there are no gaps between fragments and the fracture is stable fixed. Fracture classification is important for decision making and determining the prognosis. The goal of diaphyseal fracture treatment differs from that for joint fracture treatment. The fractures can be treated conservatively either with immobilization, either functionally or operatively.
