Abstract		Nebulisation stands for the administering of drugs in the respiratory system through inhalation. The respiratory passage is wider in the beginning and narrows towards the alveoli. The size of particles in the air determines where the drug will stop. Aerosol is a mixture of tiny scattered (dispersed) solid or liquid substances in the air. Nebulizers are instruments used to aerosolize the drug. They alter the water solution of the drug to small droplets of fog the patient inhales.
