Abstract		The article discusses the rehabilitation programme of patients with burns. The need for coordinated team work is stressed. The pysiatrist is pivotal in directing the team and in planning and implementation of an individualized rehabilitation program for each patient. The focus of treatment is on individual kinesitherapy, occupational therapy including static and dynamic splints and custom fitted pressure garments. Many burns result in long term functional impairments, and successful rehabilitation often requires years of efforts.
