Abstract     The purpose of this research is to find out the influences of pre-analytical factors, such as vein puncture, blood mingling, the time from blood taking till analysis and the temperature of blood storage, on the results of basic haematological examinations. Forty volunteers have had their blood taken twice: firstly incorrectly and secondly correctly. It has been found out, that blood must be analysed within half an hour to four hours. Previous mixing of samples before analysis in haematological analyzer is not necessary. For storage of the blood sample longer than four hours, room temperature is required. If storage is longer, the cells change occurs, and such results can not be used.
