Abstract     Activity of man must often follow great present burdens. Because of everyday working engagements nurses are exposed to guantitative surpluss of burdening which causes consecutive loss of effectiveness and in long term also leaves dire conquences on health condition. Ergonomy as science about work humanisation is directed on linking between physical energy of worker, his tiredeness and effectiveness. For assurance of availability of nurses at the work we have to adapt working environment and minimize work burdening. Humanizing of work for nurses merges knowledge, experiencess and measures. Research showes largest concentration of overburdening for nurses who are working in diferent departements of General Hospital Maribor. Humanizing of work is most efficient when most harmfull elements are eliminated which have negative effect mostly in overburdening of spine segments.
