Abstract		Injuries are a big problem in Slovenia and in EU also. Injury presents the major cause of children's and adolescents' death in Slovenia. Some injuries could be foreseeable and so negative impact could be reduced. For this purpose in EU the project Maintenance, Development and Promotion of the ISS Hospital Survey in the current and enlarged EU takes place. The Slovenia is a member to. Injury prevention needs data. So the EU Injury Database is developing. For data comparability the data unity is needed. For this purpose The Injury Database (IDB) Coding Manual is published, IDB Coding Guide is preparing. Despite all of this effort, the data are not good enough without adequate motivated people in the source of the data.
