Abstract     Malaria is the most important tropical disease which represents the major health and economic problem in over 100 tropical and subtropical countries worldwide. For the past 20 years, the incidence of malaria has been increasing. This increase can be attributed, in large part, to increasing resistance of Plasmodium falciparum to current antimalarial drugs, to the appearance of Plasmodium in nonendemic areas and to the increase in travel to and migration from areas where malaria is endemic. This paper is an attempt to review some of new developments in prophylaxis, diagnosis and treatment of malaria which we are facing in last years.
