Abstract     The use of antibiotics selects resistant strains of bacteria and also disturbs the normal flora, which additionally weakens protection against infection. Commensal bacteria interfere with the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Bacterial interaction probably influences the carrier status of nasal bacteria S. aureus and methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA). Microbes influence one another. The mechanisms of this interaction are not sufficiently understood and will be the subject of future research. In addition to antibiotics, strategies to cure infections in the future will also include bacterial therapy, pheromones and their derivatives, and new bacterial vaccines.
Summary     Uporaba antibiotikov selekcionira odporne seve patogenih bakterij in zmoti normalno mikrobno floro, kar dodatno oslabi obrambo proti okužbi. Komenzalne bakterije namreč interferirajo/ovirajo patogene bakterije.
