Abstract		Dyslipidemia is a common complication in patients with chronic kidney disease. Recent evidence confirms the role of dyslipidemia in the development and progression of renal disease. Dyslipidemia is also associated with coronary heart disease, which is very common in patients with chronic kidney disease and the leading cause of death among these patients. The author presents the problem of dyslipidemia in patients with chronic kidney disease. The role of statins is also presented.
