Abstract		A share of people, older than 65 years old is getting higher and it will increase according to prolonged life period. In Emergency surgery department elderly people represent more than one tenth ol all patients. With research we have found out that fractures, sprains, dislocations and wounds are the most frequent injuries of elderly people. The role of health care in providing quality and efficient medical treatment of elderly people is significant, becouse a treatment of elderly is different than a treatment of younger population.
