Abstract		Lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage is a common clinical problem. The colon is responsible for aproximately 90% of lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage. In the present article the most frequent etiopathology of lower gastrointestinal bleeding is discussed. The diagnostic algorithm for therapeutical tretment strategy, including endoscopic, radiographic and surgical management of this pathology is of great importance.
