Abstract		The population of elderly people and the use of information communication technology (ICT), computers and the Internet in Slovenia are both increasing at extraordinary rates. Elderly people could improve their quality of lives as well as the lives of others by making more use of this technology. However, the elderly are currently among the lowest frequent users of computers and the Internet. This paper shows the actual situation of usage of information technology of elderly people in Maribor and potential possibilities to increase the numbers of elderly people making effective use of ICT.
