| Abstract | The transfusion medicine specialist has the role and function of forming the bridge between the blood establishment and the clinic. He is able to serve as expert consultant to clinicians in the management of patients undergoing massive transfusion, in patients with haemostatic disorders and other patients in clinical medicine including internal medicine, oncology, surgery and other. If he is familiar with haemostatic disorder in the patient, he can contribute to successful treatment with optimal blood components and products. | |
