Abstract		Many risk factors, which can initiate or worsen ED, are known. Their identification can postpone or even cure ED. Therapy for ED is successful, safe and simple for most men. Of out most importance are early recognition and motivation of the patient and his physician. Most men with ED can be successfully treated by primary care physicians.
Summary		Erektilno disfunkcijo poslabšajo ali povzročajo številni dejavniki tveganja. Če jih poznamo, lahko njihov vpliv zmanjšamo ali celo odstranimo. Zdravljenje je za večino moških uspešno, varno in nezahtevno. Pomembna je čimprejšnja diagnoza in motiviranost za zdravljenje s strani bolnika in zdravnika. Večino moških z erektilno disfunkcijo lahko uspešno zdravi že zdravnik splošne ali družinske medicine.
