Abstract		Erectile dysfunction is one of the most common male diseases seen in the office of family practitioners. A greater public and professional interest in this medical condition has been observed in the past several years. It may result from psychological causes, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, pharmacological factors, surgical procedures or trauma, neurological and endocrine disorders, as well as from several other diseases and conditions. The majority of cases have organic etiology, most commonly a vascular disease that decreases blood flow to the penis.
Summary		Med najpogostejše spolne težave moških, s katerimi se pri svojem delu srečuje zdravnik družinske medicine, sodi erektilna disRmkcija. V zadnjih letih se za ta zdravstveni problem bolj zanima tako laična kot strokovna javnost. Povzročajo ga lahko psihogeni vzroki, bolezni srca in ožilja, sladkorna bolezen, zdravila, nezdrav življenjski slog, operacije in/ali poškodbe v področju medenice, nevrološke bolezni, endokrinopatije ter različne druge bolezni in stanja. V večini primerov je vzrok organski, najpogosteje gre za žilne motnje, ki zmanjšujejo dotok krvi v moški spolni ud.
