Abstract     Increased incidence of morbid obesity in Western society caused increased number of extremely obese patients presented for surgical treatment. Consequences of morbid obesity and coexistent morbidity present increased risk for anaesthesia. Difficult airway, changed reaction to anesthetics, and prolonged and complicated recovery from anaesthesia are of special concern to an anaesthesiologist. However, increased experience in this pathology reduced frequency of obesity related complications in recent years.
