Abstract     Urinary lithiasis is metabolic disease, expressed as abnormal biochemical urinary composition. Various abnormalities can give rise to stone of identical chemic composition, but more often numerous factors are involved at stone formation. In analysis of morning urine sample at 204 patient with urinary lithiasis, abnormalities in biochemical urine composition were confirmed in 62,3%. Lowered citrate values were stated in 78%, high oxalate in 15,2%.Follow up one to two years two groups of patients with and without metabolic abnormalities determined that a group with anbnormalities had high relaps rate of stone formation. Stone prevcntion is determincd by detailed analysis of patients metabolic state, before all with special instructions. General instructions are all well known.
