Abstract     There are 3.326 young workers from 15 to including 19 years of age in our country, which 0,4% of all workers. The most important difference between Slovenia and EU average as far as age structure is concerned is the fact that age structure 15-24 in Slovenia represent 6,1% and in EU 11% of all workers. No one among young workers under age 19 died from work related accident in period 2004 - 2005. Between 2004 and 2005, 352 work related accidents were reported; among which only 3 were sever injuries. The problem still remains how to implement safety and health issues into youngest population basic education and how to implement high quality education among employed young workers due to their concrete work.
