Abstract		Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic progressive inflammatory disease of multifactorial etiology. Cytokines, TNF-??andinterlevkines (IL-1 and IL-6) included, are a key factor of etiopathogenesis. They also play a significant role in the development of spondylarthritis (SpA). Recent evidence has now sparked a strong interest in B cells and their important role in the pathogenesis of RA. Aim: Our aim was to present the treatment of RA and SpA with biologic medication. Conelusions: The development of biologic drugs lead to significant progress in RA and SpA therapy. However, this therapy is associated with possible side effects that should be considered.
