Abstract     Aspirin is the basic antiagregative medicine. One of its disadvantageous effects is the inability of a patient to absorb it properly because of sensitivity. This can be shown on a clinical picture of severe asthma aggravation, rhynitis, acute articaria and angioedema, or even anaphylaxis. Too often we give up on the most rational medication when we know or suspect that a patient cannot absorb it properly, even though he or she needs aspirin because of its antiagregative effect. It is a fact that such patients can be treated with this medication. Most patients with aspirin intolerance can absorb the portion of 75-100 miligrams; problems start when the portion exceeds 250 miligrams. Most patients who suffer from aspirin intolerance can be desensitised with a simple procedure and after that thev can absorb aspirin properlv but have to take it daily. We also encourage defining the absorption of aspirin with patients who once experienced complications when given analgesia.
