Abstract		Lower gastrointestinal heamorrhage, especially acute and massive is serious clinical problem. The colon is responsible for approximately 90% of lower gastrointestinal heamorrhage. In the present article the most frequent etiopathology of lower gastrointestinal bleeding is discussed. The diagnostic algorithm for therapeutic treatment strategy, including endoscopic, radiographic and surgical management of this pathology is of great importance.
