Abstract		This article reports the results of a research on the structure of participants of the educational program »Don't forget me«, organised by »Forget-me-not« - Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association of Slovenia in collaboration with Psychiatric Hospital Ljubljana. With regard to the research population, research questions and research goals, the descriptive method was chosen. The strategy of the research was cross-section study. The investigated group consisted of participants of the educational program »Don't forget mea, from 2000 to 2004. A questionnaire was used. The data was processesed quantitatively with basic statistic methods. The results showed that the characteristic participant was a middle-aged, married, employed female. The results also revealed the existence of factors that reduce the quality of life of family members. They provide a basis for further research in this field and for designing programs that would be helpful to family members of persons wih dementia.
