Abstract     Chemoprevention refers to use of agents that inhibit, reverse or retard tumorigenesis. In dietary food many phytochemicals have been identified that have chemopreventive action by interfering with carcinogenic process. Many mechanisms of action of phytochemicals has been elucidated, but specific attention has been put into the dissection of intracellular signaling cascades as common molecular target to various chemopreventive phytochemicals.
