Abstract     Programming cochlear implants in small children is often difficult because they don't provide adequate responses for fitting device. The neural response telemetry (NRT) permitting direct intra cochlear recordings of electrically evoked compound action potentials (ECAP's). We performed NRT measurement in 24 person using Nucleus 24-channel Contour cochlear implants. Twenty of them had positive NRT results. Measurements were obtained from seven electrodes in each patient. We wanted to find out the correlation between behavioral subjective thresholds and results of NRT. Our results show us that the value of NRT may give us very important information for fitting in correlation with behavioral subjective thresholds, specially in young deaf children.
