Abstract     Hyperkinetic behaviour is a term for the combination of overactive, poorly behaviour with marked inattention, restlessness, impulsiveness and distractibility. Hyperactive children need a lot of understanding, teacher's and parent's support, a special pedagogical help and adapted and individual methods of work. To some children Ritalin is one of (heir salvation. Ritalin improves their attention, mental processes, respondency, social interactions, behaviour and especially reduces restlessness. Because of this effects, the child has less discipline problems, less conflicts with a classmates, parents and teachers, more willable for learning and better self-esteem. In our study we have confirmed that: In tha sample of the third class children in Primary's Schools on area Gorenjska the population of the children with the hiperkinetic behaviour is similar to the other countries Hyperkinetic behaviour is three to four times more frequent in the boys than in the girls In our sample more than a half of the hyperactive boys come from incompleted family (single mother) If we recognize hyperkinetic behaviour in time, cooperate with parents, teachers and specialists it is much easier to prevent the secundary difficulties of the hyperactive children.
