Abstract     The well-functioning of a team depends on organizational culture which stimulates teamwork. This means that required sources, possibility of implementing changes, support of the management, reward system, adequate conditions for education and time for qualifying for working in a team should be available to all teams. Our hospital, University Clinic of Respiratory and Allergic Diseases Gobnik, wanted to analyse stages of teamwork on a process, such as patient admittance. A study with the sample of 35 health workers who are involved in the patient admittance process was conducted. The correlation between the number of registered disturbances in work processes, the nature of disturbances, cooperation evaluation and the distribution of all these variables according to work positions and years of service has been studied. The most disturbances on medical wards are registered by nurses. The most frequent disturbance in work processes is time; the second one is communication and the third one are the available sources needed for the implementation of work processes. The number of disturbances included in the questionnaire ranges from 0 to 11 and is closely connected to the actual range of work on a certain day; consequently, time disturbances prevail among all other types of disturbances. Health workers who are involved in the patient admittance process observe disturbances objectively according to the extent of their daily work.
