Abstract		Low back pain is one of the most frequent reasons for consoulting general practitioner in most countries. In most cases the pain is selfcured. The treatment methods used in the practices have no scientific based effects. Guidelines for acute low back pain are available but there are no guidelines for chronic low back pain therefore this situation becomes a complex health and psihosocial problem.
