Abstract		Infection in the pregnant woman can be accompanied by very trivial symptoms, or even none at all, so many of them are difficult or impossible to diagnose on clinical grounds. Infection in the mother does not always mean the fetus or baby will be affected. Some infections can be avoided by the mother through simple hygiene measures, with chemo- or immunoprophylaxis and treatment.
Summary		Okužbo noseče žene lahko spremljajo značilni simptomi, bolezni pa ni mogoče vedno diagnosticirati na osnovi kliničnih značilnosti, ker so lahko simptomi odsotni. Materina okužba tudi ne pomeni vedno okužbe ploda ali okužbe otroka. Nekaterim okužbam se lahko mati izogne z enostavnimi higienskimi ukrepi, s kemo- in imunoprofilakso in z zdravljenjem.
