Abstract		The main principles of crisis interventions are discussed and illustrated by reports on three patients admitted to the Crisis Intervention Unit. The author wants to point out one of the most important dilemmas facing the doctor who works with a patient in crisis: either to deal with the "crisis" alone, or to take a deeper reconstructive psychotherapeutic approach to the patient.
