Abstract     ANCA were defined as autoantibodies yielding a diffuse granular staining of the cytoplasm of neutrophils and some monocytes, isolated from healthy human donor blood, using a standardized indirect immunofluorescence technique. Sera from 73 patients were analysed for ANCA. Three patients Wegener's granulomatosis (WG), two with panarterian nodosa (PN), 11 with nonclassified systemic vasculitis, two with the non-Schoenlein vasculitis, four systemic lupus erythemaosus (SLE), three with other systemic autoimmune diseases, 6 with idiopathic necrolizing and crescemic glomerulonephritis (EX-GN), 16 with other primary glomerulonephritises, three with skin vasculitis and 23 with other diseases were included. Positive ANCA were detected in serum samples of 9 patients. Granular staining of the cytoplasm was obtained in one patient with WG and two patientd with nonclassified systemic vasculitis, while perinuclear pattern was found in one patient with WG, two with nonclassified systemic vasculitis and one with idiopathic EX-GN. One patient with WG had a combination of both patterns of positive ANCA, diffuse granlar cytoplasmic and perinuclear pattern.
