Abstract     The development of echocardiography and Doppler-echocardiography has provided a rnajor advance in the noninvasive assessment of tricuspid valve disease. Echocardiography is the most sensitive and specific method for evaluation of tricuspid valve stenosis and regurgitation. This article reviews echocardiographic data of a normal tricuspid valve and the most prominent echocardiographic characteristics of tricuspid valve stenosis and regurgitation.
