Abstract     Due to the new health legislature, a new way has been paved to the Slovene health care. The novelties mainly concern the sphere ofhealth insurance, e.g. the foundation of the Health Insurance Institution of Slovenia, wherefinancial resources are being collected from the contribution grades. The new legislature enables the insured to use the service within the limit of the agreed extent ofservices, as well as extra services, which, however, should be paid from the extra, so called voluntary insurance. The new legislature enables the doctors to perform private practice, which might rise big changes in the organization system and business process economics. Not at last- a longasting wish ofdoctors is to be aided by computer at their professional work; f.ex urgent states in medicine, interactions of medicaments etc., and to currently follow up their work, diagnostics, therapy, medical statistics, sick list etc. All these requirements and wishes could not be complied with in the out-of date classic administrative way. Therefore the Basic Health Care of Gorenjska decided to launch a uniform information system. The project has been surveyed by the management of the institution with its project council. The financial construction forecasts 1,5 - 2 million DM value, which is supposed to be realized within the five year period. The software part is in the 3 version, the hardware one has already been installed in two health centres. By new year in all health centres of Gorenjska a concluded basic circle - general medicine with dispensary for urgent help, child dispensary, work medicine, laboratory and x-ray, should enter into operation. We do not know a similar programme in the sphere of basic health care in Slovenin, therefore we look forward to any suggestion and we will be grateful to any proposal which could improve our proposal programme.
