Abstract		The doctor - bearer of medical treatment - needs up-to-date and quality information on treatment activity, for his work. The authors cooperate within a project team for an integrated information system INFOMED in the hospital of Jesenice. In the contribution special attention is paid to the close cooperation from the conception idea to the very use. The advantages are mainly in the knowing and surveying of the state, in tic knowing ofthe activities and processes, interdependence of archival data and simultaneous joining into the everyday work. The objective is also current formation of documentation by data collection on the place of origin. Invoicing and statement of account are just one of the system objectives. The segments of doctor's work are organized in the form which also enables professional research activity. Compatibility to individual questionnaires, professional literature on computer network, also enable a more penetrated approach to the health care issue. The potential cooperation in the academic network, spreads professional and collegial information as well. The application of the system on the every day routine work; which represents, considering the definition and elaboration, the key problem, is faster and more consistent, when the doctor is creator and user at the same time.
