Abstract     A prototype of nuclear stethoscope with real time monitoring and classifying the ejection fraction forench heart cycle was developed. The radioactivity detected by nuclear probe is counted by 12 bit binary counter. The ECG signal is amplified and digitised with 10 bit resolution. Controlling of counting and ECG sampling is done by a clock which is added to control logic. Data are fed to microprocessor and displayed with graphic resolution of 1024x768. The following software functions were developed: acquisition and storing the data from nuclear probe at 20 ms and ECG signal at 2.5 ms; control of optimal positioning of nuclear probe in background area and left ventricle; computation of the two parametrically diagram (interval area and arc) from initial ECG record and selecting the parametric limits for QRS complex differentiation; manual determination of diagnostic parameters; real time monitoring of both signals with classified ejection fraction and printing the results and signal curves by printer.
