Abstract     Management of the health care activity in the contemporary world and at the market oriented economy, requires a very adaptable organization, which also arises from the quality of creative work activities with dynamic work tasks at high motivation impact yery good personality propertes, as well as the appropriate training system, integral content, are vital for the management process; its up-todate level and concreteness have been assured by a logical computer system with its polyvalent network. The authors demonstrate the application of the existing computer programme IBIS in the general hospital of Jesenice, as to meet the requirements of the management process of the hospital. 1. For programming of the business process, all final data of the individual ward activities and invoiced applications have been used. 2. Preparing programme implementation is the concrete form of planning desicions within the hospital, on the basis of the data dynamics from the past and applications to individual activities of the wards and units, considering the standard-setting and work contents. 3.Organization is computer aided in its basis of the programme "patient", from the re ception registration point to the dismissal point form, current registration of activities and consumption of material, up to the final elaboration of the invoice. 4.Supervision of the work process can be executed by the set standards (the number of points per doctor/team, price of the case for the individual diagnosis, consumption of material after diagnosis) and by application of quality (time of treatment after diagnosis, number of complications, mortality). 5.Coordinating among medical activities of individual wards is enabled by a computer programme, regarding ordering, planning, transfering, alimentation and other medical provision. 6.(trunc.)
