Abstract		The medical treatment in our hospital represents the integral trentment ofthepatient, ensuring thus a quality andprofessional canying out oftasks when maintaining thepatients vitalfunctions, theirfeeling well and their return to the home environment. In medical treatment the most vital stress is given to thepersonal and permanent contact between the nurse and thepatient. The nurse should be as much time aspossible with the patient In this way she can collect most of information about the patient health condition and hisfeeling. The information can be conveyed to other members ofthe medical team orally, in the written form, or via data bases in the computer Each systematic work is based on good documentation. Theprogramme INFOMED enables the computerprocessing ofdata and the information on medical treatment In this way each information conceming basic treatment is stored and available and we collect data about the expanded treatment. The data on treatment are being stored which could otherwise not be by verbal messages only. The database ensures the ontinuity of the treatment, it gives a chronologicalsurvey of thepreviousprocedures, facilitates the transfer oftreatment to otherperson. It can also provide reliable data which spreadprofessional knowledgefrom the medical treatment sphere. Network link in softwareprogramme INFOMED enables us constant follow up ofthe patients, from reception in the hospital up to dismissal. In the reception o)jice all basic datn on patient (particulars) are being updated, as well as all the required data on concrete re ception. The patient is given at reception a hospital and ward number - the registration number In this way, on the basis ofthe input data, professional data onpatient are being recorded - register list, as well as the data for statement account At the reception the patient is also given afile card containing the hospital number and his/her particulars.(trunc.)
