Abstract     Nurses actually do a great part of systematic overwiev of three years old children. In 1990 we checked 98,89 percent of children being born in Maribor in the year 1987. Systematic overwiev is consisted out of inviting, introductorily cheking, where a nurse thru a talk with parents tales a whole anamnesis and makes basic testing and measurements (weight, height, RR, pulse, vital capacity, head na chest circumference), next out of being checked by pediatrician, psychologist, ophthalmologist, dentist, laboratory checking and Mantoux test. After being examed by all listed obove together with results of tests the little patients together with their parents see the nurse again and if neccessary their pedoatrician. Together with all teams collaborating in this work and together with the Electrical Faculty of the University of Maribor we made a nucleus for a computer supported informatic system. Our goals are healthy children, efficient inviting, evidence and to build a child's booklet of his-her preventive health care and status. Lately we are rtying to add some elements of expert systems which would cosult pediatrician or nurse about the health status of a child.
