| Abstract | The action of 2-methyl-3-carbethoxy-5-pyrrolinone on 4-substituted benzaldehydes produced 2-methyl-3-carbethoxy-4-benzyliden-5-pyrrolinones by nucleophyllic addition. The moleeular structure of 2-methyl-3-carbethoxy-4-(4-nitrobenzylidene)-5-pyrrolinone was established My x-ray crystal structure analysis.We determined antimicrobial activity for these compounds. | |
