Abstract		Article deals with nursing management of patients with lower limb injuries and his/her pathway from admittance till discharge from the Emergency department at University medical center Ljubljana. Functional treatment of joint sprains and application of anticoagulation therapy is ealt with in detail. We also present admittance of the injured, correct removal of clothing and other measures of nursing in heavy-injury section of our Emergency department. The meaning of cholistic approach and coordinated action is stressed. The role of nurse in "trauma team" is presented.
