Abstract		The article presents the IRIS Home. IRIS is an acronym for Independent Residing enabled by Intelligent Solutions. It is planned as a demonstration apartment located at the Institute for rehabilitation in Ljubljana. It will befitted with the latest equipment, technical aids and rehabilitation technology. The aim of the IRIS home is demonstration, testing and application of contemporary technological solutions that compensate for the most diverse kinds of disabilities and thereby improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities and assure their optimal occupational, educational and social integration in society.
Summary		Članek predstavi Dom IRIS. IRIS je kratica, ki predstavlja začetnice besed Inteligentne Rešitve in Inovacije za Samostojno Življenje. Dom IRIS bo demonstracijsko stanovanje locirano v prostorih Inštituta Republike Slovenije za rehabilitacijo (IRSR) opremljeno z najsodobnejšo rehabilitacijsko opremo, pripomočki in tehnologijo. Namen Doma IRIS je seznanjanje, preizkušanje in apliciranje sodobnih tehnoloških rešitev za kompenzacijo najrazličnejših invalidnosti, za izboljšanje kvalitete življenja najtežje prizadetih oseb in za njihovo čim popolnejše in enakopravnejše vključevanje v študij, delo in družabno življenje.
