Abstract		The article presents some elements of the process of a career choice. The process was monitored on a sample of 155 children from Ravne na Koroškem. Concidering the data from literature and the repoprts of different state institutions on the career choice, the variables which should exert important influence on the career choice were eliminated. The eliminated variables were performance at school, child's career interests, health, and enrolement.
Summary		V prispevku so prikazani nekateri elementi procesa poklicnega odločanja. Proces je bil spremljan na vzorcu 155 otrok iz Raven na Koroškem. Glede na podatke iz literature in poročila različnih inštitucij o poklicnem odločanju so bile izločene tiste spremenljivke, ki naj bi pomembneje določale poklicno odločitev. Izločene spremenljivke so bile šolski uspeh, poklicni interesi otroka, zdravstveno stanje in vpis.
