Abstract     Bioelectric characteristics, especially impdance magnitude, of the anconeal, dorsal, anterior and posterior pelvic-thigh muscles in 147 lambs, males and females at the age of 3 to 6 months were investigated. It was shown that impedance module values increase in all muscle groups with age. That is true for males as well as for females. In anconeall and dorsal muscles this increase is at a range from 520 Ohms to 650 Ohms and in pelvic-thigh muscles from 480 Ohms to 618 Ohms. Measured were also pH-values which show similar increase, highly correlated with impedance magnitude increase, i.e. up to 6.14 (anconeal and anterior and posterior pelvic-thigh muscles), 6.19 (semimembranosus) and 5.98 (dorsal muscle). Regarding our results it seems that it is sufficient to measure only the posterior pelvic-thigh muscle properties with electrode distance of 2.8 cm and injection depth of 1.0 cm.
