| Abstract | Musculoskeletal disorders are one of the most frequent causes for sick leave among workers. Most studies focused on investigating the association between sick leave and disorders of neck, shoulders and low back that are most often affected. Regarding the percentage of sick leave, musculoskeletal disorders are the main cause for sick leave in Slovenia. Among musculoskeletal disorders, most cases of sick leave in 2006 were due to lumbago, lumboischialgia and cervicobrachial syndrome. Multidisciplinary preventive programmes are of great importance to reduce the sick leave due to musculoskeletal disorders. | |
