Abstract		Many HIV infected patients have gastrointestinal complications. Diarrhea is the most common gastrointestinal symptom, affecting almost every person with HIV. In some cases, the diarrhea may come and go without causing significant problems. However, when diarrhea is causing weight loss, fatigue, or altering patient's daily activities, he/she will probably find himself going to the doctor. Diarrhea is mostly medication related or pathogen related.
