Abstract		Knowledge of biliary anatomy is one of the important factors for safe surgery. Embryological evolution determines anatomical location, course and varieties of biliary structures. Topographical site of gallblader depends on the development and the suze of segment 4. Vascular structures and cystic ducts as well as varieties are described in the article. Extrahepatic bile ducts are described considering their course, location and also arterial supply and venous drainage. Important varieties in the site and junction of bile ducts are presanted. Other structures in hepatoduodenal ligament and their relationship to biliary system are also described. The surgeons are usually well acquainted with normal biliary anatomy, however it is important also to know the important varieties which could represent serious problem when combined with inflammatory changes and following previous operative procedures.
Summary		Poznavanje anatomije žolčnega sistema je eden od pogojev za varno operiranje. Anatomski položaj, potek in morebitne različice so posledice embrionalnega razvoja. Topografski položaj žolčnika je povezan z razvojem in velikostjo 4. jetrnega segmenta. Opisane so žilne strukture žolčnika in potek cističnega voda z različicami. Zunajjetrni žolčni vodi so opisani glede na potek, lego in vrsto prekrvitve ter vensko drenažo. Predstavljene so kirurško pomembne različice v poteku in združevanju žolčevodov. Na koncu so opisane še ostale strukture v hepatoduodenalnem ligamentu in njihov odnos do žolčevodov. Kirurgi poznajo normalno anatomijo žolčnega sistema, vendar je pomembno poznati tudi različice, ki posebno v kombinaciji z vnetnimi spremembami ali po prejšnjih operacijah lahko predstavljajo pomemben problem pri operacijah.
